Institute of Science and Innovative Technologies (previous name: Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Information Technologies) was established in 2006.
Its specialisation is high performance computing methods and production of mathematical models on mathematics, physics, environment and economic-physics themes.
The attraction of European Union funds resulted in the procurement of new research facilities that allowed the extension of the research themes through the development of nanotechnologies and ecotechnologies.
The institute has at its disposal the following research facilities:
• CVD (Chemical Vapour Deposition) Equipment
• Scanning Electron Microscope
• Thin Film Deposition Equipment
• Chemical Laboratory
• Solar Batteries
• Solar Collector
• Biogas Reactor
• Wave Energy Pool
• Electric Car
• HPC (High Performance Computing)
The following departments are divided regarding their research directions:
