Liepaja University International relations department's Chief Specialist Ērika Lauberga - Sleže from 31 March to 1 April was taking part in various promotional activities in Hanoi and Hochiminh cities in order to promote LiepU study programmes offered in English.
On 31 March chief specialist had a full day meetings with education-abroad agents in Vietnam, but on 1st and 2nd April - participated in two study-abroad educational fairs in Hanoi and Hochiminh cities.
Ērika Lauberga - Sleže says: "After many meetings with potential students and agents I have an impression that Vietnamese students are motivated, they know what they want to study. Studies abroad are becoming more and more popular. Students' English level is quite good, many have IELTS certificates. Latvian study fees and living costs for them appeared surprisingly low. Some said that at the same level as in Vietnam. I am very optimistic!"
Currently there are two students from Vietnam studying at LiepU, they both study IT in bachelor and master level.
