Liepaja University becomes a member of LETERA

Liepaja University has recently joined the Latvian Electrical Engineering and Electronics Industry Association – LETERA - organization who unites companies, research and educational institutions operating in the fields of electrical engineering and electronics, optical equipment, information technology and telecommunications, defense equipment, aviation and space technology.
Dean of Faculty of Science and Engineering Anita Jansone says: "To become the member of this organization is very much linked to our new study program "Smart Technologies". We will be in a circle with the enterprises which need our prepared specialists. And as we are assuring dual studies, in this association there are enterprises which can provide internship placement to our students".

LETERA was founded in 1995 to represent the interests of its members and promote the growth and popularization of the industry. Currently there are 83 members in this association.
