Understand the principles of electronic music production, familiarise with electronic music theory and apply the acquired knowledge in practice in the sound studio and in electronic music composition. Learn about electronic music instruments, sound studio equipment and the latest technologies. Learn in depth the software, effects and software tools used in electronic music composition. Learn different ways of playing electronic music.

Subject Content

The module is an introduction to electronic music instruments, studio sound equipment, new technologies and practice based sound studio sessions to learn the principles of electronic music composition and possibilities of playback. The core of this module is development of practical skills.

Expected Results

Has gained a deep understanding in the process of making electronic music.

In students' own creative work can use various composition methods, electronic music instruments and equipment and software of the electronic music studio.

Can create electronic music composition independently and prepare it for various types of playback.

Requirements to gain ECTS

Exhibition of works - electronic music performance in a group or individual piece playback
