Subject Aim

The module aims to create an understanding of imaginative painting and drawing, based on practical exercises in painting and graphical techniques used in drawing

 

Subject Content

In order for a student to be able to realize his artistic ideas, one of the important factors is the stimulation of imagination. Studying different artistic styles and realizing the knowledge gained from them in one's practical paintings gives an impetus to the qualitative growth of creative imagination. By practically painting, the student acquires skills and abilities that will help him in future artistic tasks that he will have to face both during and after his studies. In creating imaginative paintings, the student uses not only his practical artistic skills, but also his intellectual skills, the symbiosis of which creates a unique work of art.

The drawing course provides theoretical knowledge and practical skills to graphically represent the tasks included in the various topics.

Expected Results

The student has acquired an understanding of different painting styles, knows how to apply the knowledge accordingly in his paintings, is able to classify and distinguish different painting styles, able to create illusions of imagination

Students have developed the ability to freely draw various natural and man-made three-dimensional shapes on a two-dimensional space using various materials and techniques.

Requirements to gain ECTS

Is able to paint a painting of high artistic quality, integrating style, different painting techniques (presentation of an idea, sketching).

Is able to successfully apply the acquired knowledge and skills in drawing, able to successfully solve the tasks given in the course, acquire a variety of materials for graphic representation and opportunities to express oneself in different techniques.
