Subject Aim

The aim of the module is to create an understanding of the key principles and key elements of visual identity of products, an understanding of web design and the usability and findability of a product website, the skills to create a product logo, label, visual identity guidelines and website

Subject Content

 In the module, students will learn the development of the basic elements of the product's visual identity. By learning the basic principles of design thinking and regularities of visual perception, as well as programming languages, students will create a product logo, label, visual identity guidelines and a responsive home page.

Expected Results

An understanding of the basic concepts of product identity has developed,

basic knowledge of the function and application of packaging design in practice, competences necessary to independently use the basic principles of design thinking according to one's specialty. Knows and knows how to apply the basic principles of inclusive and responsive web design, knows how to use various website creation platforms (WordPress, WIX, Squarespace), knows and knows how to use design and collaboration tools (Figma, Miro, codepen.io, glitch.io) to create websites (HTML, CSS, JS) and ensure product presence online.

Requirements to gain ECTS

Completion of all module assignments in accordance with the stated aim, requirements and expected learning outcomes.

Execution of the examination paper in accordance with the objective, requirements and expected learning outcomes, emphasising the originality of the idea or execution, usability, technical quality  and the quality of the presentation.
