Subject Aim

I Develop a deeper understanding of the preparation of print files. Practical training in the printing process.

 

II To provide theoretical knowledge and practical skills for creative expression in printmaking, using traditional graphic techniques to realise artistic ideas.

Subject Content

Within the module, students get to know printing technologies and practically learn the process of creating printings.

This course will give students theoretical knowledge of basic graphics and opportunity for practical application of techniques on paper, non-traditional materials and a combination of the two.

Expected Results

Knowledge

−       Knows printing technology and preparation of print files.

Skills

−       Selects and skilfully uses appropriate graphic application tools for the development of design solutions.

−       Can professionally create printings.

Competence

−       Critically evaluates the process of creating a design project, using the theoretical foundations and skills learned in the study process, plans and implements creative ideas in the field of design and technology.

−       Develops design projects, implements artistic ideas using computer technologies.

 

Learned theoretical knowledge and practical skills to create creative graphic works and to realizē them in different techniques. Learned skill to to realizē artistic vision in professional level.
