The module consists of two courses: "History of Video Art, Video Installation" and "Experimental and Interactive Cinema". As part of the module, students perform a practical exam task - create a video artwork that will be exhibited at a public exhibition. The module is designed to develop the technical and creative skills necessary for video art.

Expected Results

Students have developed an understanding of video media and experimental cinema techniques in the context of contemporary art. Has knowledge of the historical development of video art and video installations. Students have technical knowledge of video technique, interactivity tools, projection mapping, exhibiting video works and creating video installations.

 

Students acquire skills in using interactivity technologies such as sensors, Arduino, keyboard, Mindwave brainwave reader and MaKey MaKey to create interactive video works.

 

Students acquire competencies necessary for independent work

for work and collaboration to develop and implement a video installation.

Able to conduct independent theoretical and practical research, use

books and other sources, realize an artistic idea, present it,

justify and analyze in groups.
