To learn about and develop a deeper understanding of the diversity and manifestations of computer graphics in contemporary design. To learn the concepts of computer graphics, the types of computer graphics and their use in design projects. To know the means of visual expression and their use in design projects. Practical ability to use graphical application tools and commands professionally. To be able to professionally create and process vector and raster images. To be able to use generative computer graphics techniques. To gain practical experience in design projects.
Within the module, students get to know the concepts of computer graphics, practically learn the tools and commands of graphic applications. Practically creates and processes vector graphics and raster graphics images. Students develop various design projects.
Knowledge
− Knows the basic concepts and types of computer graphics and their use in modern design.
Skills
− Selects and skilfully uses appropriate graphic application tools for the development of design solutions.
− Acquires, selects, processes and analyses information in the field of computer graphics and design, uses the latest research and industry achievements.
Competence
− Critically evaluates the process of creating a design project, using the theoretical foundations and skills learned in the study process, plans and implements creative ideas in the field of design and technology.
− Develops design projects, implements artistic ideas using computer technologies.
