Subject Aim

To make understanding about server virtualization operational and design principles, improve server virtualization and installation of hardware and virtual machine to configure the necessary skills.

Subject Content

The current course provides knowledge on server virtualization. The students will learn how to setup the server virtualization and how to configure the necessary hardware and virtual machines for development and maintenance of server infrastructure and for computer system administration. The students will work with several operating systems to install and configure the main internet services, including web services, e-mail, ssh, ftp, nfs, etc.   

Expected Results

Completing the course, the student will:

·        know on server virtualization project management tasks and their solutions;

·        know on computer networks (the specific issues related to server virtualization);

·        know on server virtualization resource planning methods;

·        be able to estimate server virtualization development efforts;

·        be able to evaluate server virtualization project status;

·        be able to manage server virtualization project risks;

·        be able to read advanced publications on computer networks and server virtualization;

·        be able to argue personal view on server virtualization, its advantages and possible solutions for management of the organization's processes;

·        be able to search, analyse, and concludes the information that is essential for development and maintenance of server virtualization services
