Subject Aim

Provide practical skills in a variety of written and oral texts in translation from French into Latvian and Latvian- French, on the basis of prior acquired translation methodology.

Subject Content

The course is envisaged for teaching practical skills in translation/interpretation of different written and oral texts from French into Latvian and from Latvian into French, basing on the earlier acquired translation methodology. Translated pieces are commented upon and analysed.

Expected Results

Practical skills in translating different types of texts  from French into Latvian and from Latvian into French.

Requirements to gain ECTS

Theoretically learned course, successfully completed independent work tasks, participation in seminars and practical lessons, passed test- translation
