Subject Aim

To master the use of the Latvian language at the A2 level both orally and in writing. To create a basis for an in-depth theoretical and practical language acquisition in the subsequent courses

Subject Content

The aim of the  course is to give basic  knowledge of Latvian language grammar. 

The course improved grammar usage and skills, based on the practical application of grammar in different communicative  tasks and exercises, and authentic texts. Students learn the Latvian language ortographie, morphology and syntax. The learning process is dominated by linguistic communication aspect.

Expected Results

After the course the students know the basics of Latvian grammar; have acquired the skills and abilities of the Latvian language in the practical use of the language A2 level; students possess the communicative competence.

Requirements to gain ECTS

Acquisition of the theoretical material, sucessful completion of independent tasks, active participation in classes (70%); successfully passed final test and exam.
