Subject Aim

To prepare qualified English speakers in the field of external communication management with professional skills and abilities of internationally recognized methodological competence.

To promote the acquisition of all linguistic aspects so that at the end of their studies students reach Level C1/ C2 as defined in the European Language Portfolio.

Subject Content

Students acquire, deepen and consolidate all aspects of language acquisition, expand their English vocabulary in the field of external relations, and develop the ability to work with a variety of texts and dictionaries. Students learn to stylistically analyze original texts, comment on them, and write essays, annotations, summaries.

* the nature and necessity of external communication.

* development of external relations in Latvia.

* Production of informative/ promotional materials etc.

Expected Results

Requirements to gain ECTS

Complete the study course program: complete 85% of lectures (both lectures and practical classes), complete all homework included in the course, get acquainted with the necessary literature and pass all the tests.
