Erasmus in LiepU has been such a great time!
Erasmus in LiepU has been such a great time I have ever had in my life. What I want to say as a first thing is that Agita and Egita as great coordinators and the student council people as perfect friends made me feel that I was really in a big Latvian Family.
Regarding my roommate Lucia is from Slovakia. And we had perfect time together. The most important thing I need to say firstly you may have some problems, it is not so easy to have a roommate from another country with different culture and everything. But Erasmus means that you will be able to have a contact and when it has finished I hope you will also say that it was a great time together with your roommate. I am really happy to know you Lucia Spišiaková!
Education in LiepU was so good and efficient for me. I had ten lectures. All my teachers were so kind and providing English documents for me. .Besides library was really useful that to go and to find some books also to study in. The computer rooms were involved that you can find all time the computers with internet connection. I am really satisfied about my lessons.
Social activities in LiepU were great! There were a lot to do and to participate. I was in “Fuksi” game that was an event for the first class students and we had really fun with some works to do in all city.. Besides I participated “Ka maku ta maunu” in Rock Cafe, it was a singing competition. Also I participated “Dejo ar Pasniedzeju” that means “Dance with Teacher”, it was perfect time. Firstly we had Waltz lessons after that we had chosen some individual dances, and started to practise and get ready for competition. I wanted to learn Latvian Folk Dance and it was so happy times to learn and to dance it. “Chrismas Prom” was also great we had shown also our dance again there and we had such a great party! By the way I have heard that Student Council of LiepU are chosen as the Best Student Council in Latvia. So you can imagine that how they are perfect and also so friendly people that I have had such great friends!
About Latvian Language, I recommend everyone is planning to come to Latvia for Erasmus to participate Latvian Language Course(EILC). I had participated that course in Riga Technical University for one month before I had my Erasmus period in Liepaja. And it was also such a gorgeous time and to have chance to be able to learn some important Latvian words and sentences. I also like Latvian Language that sounds musical and really nice to hear and to speak. Simultaneously I really like Latvian songs.
