Virtual Summer School – free places in the international week

Virtual Summer School – free places in the international week (23rd June – 30th June 2011)

DOBA Faculty is organizing a virtual summer school again this year. Last year there were 250 students from 14 different countries participating. The summer school with the title Conquering Foreign Markets with the Knowledge of Intercultural Understanding and New Technologies will take place from 9th June to 7th July 2011.

The course Intercultural management will have a leading role in the virtual summer school. It will represent “a meeting point” for all students taking part in the summer school. For this reason we will organize an international week Intercultural Awareness - if it Cannot be Taught it Can be Learned, (23rd June – 30th June) and offer interesting lectures and webinars. Moreover, students and tutor will meet in the virtual learning environment Blackboard, where all resources, guidelines and forums are to be found.

Course aims
Active participation in the international week will enable students to:
  • raise their intercultural awareness;
  • gain confidence in intercultural dialogue;
  • learn how to adapt their way of communicating to interactions in multicultural situations;
  • experience virtual mobility.

Course structure
The course is structured around online activities, individual and collaborative. Course activities are supported by a course tutor throughout the course. For technical issues online support will be provided. There are synchronous sessions (webinars) planed.
