Today Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Latvia Miroslav Kosek with his Advisor and Chief Specialist of Foreign Affairs from Liepaja Council visited Liepaja University and met with the Rector Dace Markus and Foreign Affairs Office.
During the meeting LiepU representatives introduced the Ambassador with the general information about LiepU, available equipment and study programmes, as well about the current cooperation with five partner universities in the Czech Republic.
The Ambassador recognized the good reputation of Liepaja University by saying that "Every significant city has its own university. It is prestigious for the university - those are new people, new knowledge that develop the industry and makes creativity in the society".
The Ambassador Miroslav Kosek agreed with the Rector of LiepU Dace Markus about the visit of the Board of Masaryk University in this May at Liepaja University and informed about two concerts by Czech artists, which will be held this year in the Liepaja Concert hall "Great Amber" and will be free of charge.
