On 13th February Liepaja University hosted professors from the Warsaw School of Information Technology (WIT) in Poland: Jaroslaw Tondera and Agata Jagiello-Tondera. LiepU has already developed a an active cooperation with this school in arts field.
Professors were giving lectures on the topic of Teaching Foreign Languages to IT students. Students had the opportunity to learn about possibility of acquiring L2 level for specific purposes by applying new information and communication technologies.
Guest had a meeting with LiepU Rector Dace Markus, who was invited to participate as a member of the scientific commitee in the ART – LANGUAGE – TECHNOLOGY 2023 conference happening on May 9-11th of 2023 in WIT, Poland. The conference is focused on the following topics: art, new media and linguistics. Furthermore a meeting with the Art Department was organised where a future workshop was established which will take place in July. Everyone is invited to take part in the aforementioned workshop (also refered to as a plenar session) where participants are expected to create art-work outdoors.
