The last cultural exchange event of this study semester was held at Liepaja University on 9th December 2021. The host countries were India and Cyprus. During the event students had a good time together – students celebrated the last cultural exchange event of 2021 with our four full time students from different cities in India and Erasmus+ exchange student from Cyprus. Indian students informed the attendees about their traditions, culture, music, dance and more, they all showed to us how diverse this country is.
The other country which was presented for the first time was Cyprus, as LiepU hosts a Cypriot Erasmus+ exchange student. The student shared information about the island of Cyprus with the other participants, stressing on pluses and minuses of the country.
Following the presentations from India and Cyprus, the hosts served the participants with local delicacies they had prepared. Indian students offered local Indian food: samoas and kheer. A Cypriot student served halloumi cheese. The students continued to learn about each other's countries and to get to know each other while chatting after the official part.
