Study process at Liepaja University after 11 October 2021

From 11.10.2021 students who are fully vaccinated or recovered from Covid-19 with the appropriate certificates will be able to physically come to LiepU.

Monday 11 October the order of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 662 will eneter into force which means universities will start to work only in a "safe mode" - all present students or staff are vaccinated or have recovered from Covid-19 with the appropriate certificates. Face masks should be worn in the lecture rooms.

Due to the rapid spread of Covid-19 infection and the growing congestion in the health sector, on 8 October the government decided to declare a state of emergency throughout the country from 11 October to 11 January. Order of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 720 says that the study process in person takes place in a safe environment, however, from October 11, all students will also have to wear face masks in the classrooms!

Persons under self-isolation, home quarantine or strict isolation conditions, or with signs of respiratory infection must not enter or be on LiepU premises.

The study process at LiepU can be changed in the future and planned in accordance with the conditions set by the epidemiological situation and public safety requirements. Please follow the news in our website!

Along with the presentation of the relevant Certificate, an identity document - passport or identity card or residence permit for foreign students - must be presented. The Certificate can be presented electronically (as a QR code image or PDF on a smart device) or in printed format.

We request everyone of you to be responsible and comply with safety as well as hygiene requirements. If you have any signs of Covid - 19 infection, please do not visit LiepU in person and contact your GP and test for Covid - 19 if necessary.
