22 October Ambassador of Spain in Latvia H.E. Susana Camara Angulo to learn more about the town and the university visited Liepaja.

International Relations department's Specialist Erika Lauberga introduced the ambassador with LiepU study and reserach directions and potential areas of cooperation, stressing on 4 universities LiepU already have a good cooperation in the frame of Erasmus+ program: 

• Granada University

• Cordoba University

• Valencia University

• Las Palmas University

Agata Babina, Lecturer at LiepU, was telling more about bachelor level study program "European language and culture studies" where she works with students who have chosen Spanish as their 2nd foreign language; especially she was happy to share that first two bachelor papers fully written in Spanish were defended. She was also accenting that students at LiepU is not only learning a language, but also linguistics, text analysis, history and culture.

H.E. Susana Camara Angulo was interested in a potential cooperation. Conversations started with Spanish cultural days and movie festival possible organization at Liepaja. 

Rector Dace Markus shared her impressions on visited conferences in Spain where she as a scientist took part - she stressed on the high level of the organization and scientific article publication.
