The Heart of Europe and the Breathtaking Philippines

On the 3rd International Wednesday the two students that presented their country were from two very different parts of the World. Austria, presented by Liepaja University Erasmus+ student Anna Katterbauer, is in the heart of Europe, with a rich history and  traditions that are celebrated to this day, meanwhile Ateneo de Manila University student Franchesca Regala presented her home country, the Philippines, which with 7641 islands and experiencing only two seasons across the year is quite the opposite of Austria.

Variety seems to make the best presentations as we learned about Austrian's love for downhill skiing on the Alps and their plentyful beutiful mountains and on the other hand learned about the Philippino islands, volcanoes and the warm weather.

Both presenters also made their own traditional dishes, the dishes from Austria were schnitzel, topfenknödel and kartoffelsalat while the traditional dishes from Philippines were ginataang gulay and adobo.

Both students did a great job presenting their countries and preparing their dishes!

Next International Wednesday will be on 25 March 2020, 18:00, 227 room with the presentations about Turkey and Mexico! Welcome!
