Two Asian countries discovered in the 2nd International Wednesday

International Wednesdays organized by International relations office are continuing to give an insight into the culture of the home countries of our International full degree and Erasmus+ students. The event had presentations from two very different countries: Taiwan has a half of the land area as Latvia but with a population of almost 24 million, and for contrast India, the 7th largest country in the world.

India was presented by Faculty of Science and Engineering students: Rashmi Adisheshulu, Jasmanpreet Singh Ajji, Mohammad Muzammil and Preetsurinder Kaur, the presentation was about the Indian culture, marriage and national landmarks.

Taiwan was presented by Yan Ling Chen and Chia Yuan Lu who presented Taiwan's culture, diversity and showed why and how the Taiwanese are friendly and respecting to other cultures.

Presenters from both countries also brought delicious foods that they made themselves, Indian students made Deep fried Indian bread with chickpeas and Rava Laddo while the Taiwanese students made 珍珠綠豆薏仁湯 which is "sweet mung bean soup with barley".

It pleases us that there are so many students who proudly present their country, their culture and give an insight of what life is like all across the world.
