In this academic year LiepU teachers which are working in the areas of the strategic specialization – speech therapy, preschool education and primary education – are continuing to attend the professional English courses to learn intensively the language in the following 6 month to achieve the level of their knowledge according to the project.
Currently with the support of European Social Fund project No. 8.2.2.0/18/I/003 “The perfection of academic staff of Liepaja University in the areas of strategic specialization – speech therapy, preschool education and primary education”, two groups of LiepU teachers are learning professional English.
One group has started to attend courses in the beginning of 2019, by using the funds of Liepaja University, to be better prepared for attending the courses in the frame of the project. Now from 9 September 2019 this group is continuing to learn professional English in a higher level.
All professors who are continuing to attend English courses are saying that they can feel now that they have entered the new, higher level, also they regret that the time is not enough to learn individually from the given materials. But all teachers are optimistic and are saying that will achieve the planned level of English knowledge.
For your information: Professional English courses are assured by LTD “Pure Academy” English Teachers. This language school is selected by the result of tender announced by Liepaja University.
