LiepU hosts representatives from Russian Universities

From 2-7 October Liepaja University hosts representatives from three partner universities in Russian Federation.

Authorities have arrived from the following higher education institutions: Dean of Faculty of Informatics and Mathematics of Nizhnevatorsk State University of Pedagogy - Marina Khudzhina, Dean of Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of Chechen State Pedagogical University - Elman Dzhambetov and Vice-rector of the Moscow State Pedagogical University - Sergey Karakozov. They all visited LiepU on behalf of Erasmus+ KA107 project No. Nr.2018-1-LV01-KA107-046886.

 

During the visit guests had several meetings with students from the Faculty of Science and Engineering, where Elman Dzhambetov also gave one lecture on Mathematics. They also visited Faculty of Humanities and Arts premises and workshops, met with the Dean of Faculty of Humanities and Arts - Zanda Gutmane - "I am very much interested in student exchange in the field of Russian language because we are preparing Russian language specialists at LiepU". Authorities agreed not only on students and professors exchange but also on possible bachelor or master thesis supervising between all insitutions.


Marina Khudzhina adds: "We have a cooperation with Finland, Spain, but not with Latvian universities. Our students which are going for their study mobilities are showing themselves in a very good way." Elman Dzhambetov thinks that: "In Latvia people are so calm, there are no noises, fields are in very well conditions".
