Ambassador of Italy in Latvia visits Liepaja University

Ambassador of Italy in Latvia H.E. Sebastiano Fulci for the first time visits Liepaja University.

 

During the meeting both sides introduced with each other. Ambassador informed LiepU representatives about Italy, current actualities of higher education and development of science in Italy, possibilities to participate in common projects in the energy sector. Ambassador also spoke about recently concluded agreement - 1st Executive Programme of Cultural, Educational and Scientific Co-operation between the Government of the Italian Republic and the Government of the Republic of Latvia for the years 2018-2020.


LiepU Vice Rector for studies Māra Zeltiņa and Professors from the Faculty of Science and Engineering informed about existing cooperation with the Italian company "Like a Coffee" and "Baltic IT", presented plans for the future and heard Ambassador's recommendations on further cooperation opportunities with well-known companies in Italy.


Currently LiepU has two partner universities in Italy: University of Turin (cooperation in Speech therapy) and Pescara Conservatory of Music (cooperation in Music Therapy).
